Event Details

Bees often set up their homes in unwanted locations and unfortunately, a lot of them are poisoned as a means of removal. Now, you can learn how to safely remove and re-home an established beehive colony and become part of the sustainable solution!

Expect to get your hands dirty in this class. Not only may we be dealing with some messy honey spills, but there will also be a higher risk for bee stings. Bee temperament is variable and most colonies are not too happy when we forcibly relocate them. That said, many students have reported that this was their favorite class! Bee removal is one of the best ways to learn and observe natural bee behavior and Hilary believes that knowledge is critical to becoming a great beekeeper.
